  1.                           DB3TIPS2.ARC

  3.      In November 1985, I distributed to various BBS's two files
  4. containing dBASE II and dBASE III tips, tricks, hints and techniques
  5. (DB2TIPS.ARC and DB3TIPS.ARC).  Users of these files will recall that
  6. I compiled and editted a variety of articles from various magazines
  7. and other sources which I had found to be helpful in using dBASE 2/3.
  8.  
  9.      This DB3TIPS2.ARC file is a continuation of the earlier tips
  10. files.  The tips and tricks in this file were taken from a variety
  11. of magazine articles over the first 6 months of 1986.  As before, I
  12. take NO personal credit for authoring any of the items.  I did take
  13. certain liberties in editting the articles.  Nevertheless, attribution
  14. is properly given in all instances.

  16.      The various files contained in DB3TIPS2.ARC were prepared using
  17. WordStar in nondocument (ASCII) mode.  This DB3TIPS2.ARC file is
  18. arranged with the following categories.

  22.                   Ashton-Tate Support Library CompuServe
  23. DB3NTS.TXT    More dBASE III notes and tips.  Source unknown but
  24.                   believed to be Ashton-Tate again (perhaps
  25.                   CompuServe?)
  26. DB3MATH.TXT    Math functions in dBASE III
  27. DB3MISC.TXT    All the other miscellaneous tips and tricks
  28. DCRUNCH.TXT    A method for optimizing dBASE III program (PRG) files
  29.                   including the program's (DCRUNCH.COM) source code
